4 Months Old...Already!

Where on earth have the last 4 months gone?! It seems like only yesterday that I brought my little Luke home from the hospital all teeny tiny and helpless. Now he's not so teeny tiny and already well on the road to independence.
He has grown and changed so much in the last 4 months, sometimes I just wish I could press a pause button, freeze him in time for at least for a day or two...this boy literally grows in his sleep. There was one night he went to bed in a baby grow that fitted him and woke up the next morning with his feet about to pop out the end. All of his 0-3 months clothes are now stored in the spare room and he is fast working his way through the 3-6 month pile. Thank goodness he was given so much stuff from other people that there is plenty there for him to work his way through.

He is almost ready to sit up unaided, well actually he did it yesterday in Nanny's house while perched on the kitchen table and playing with a bag of sugar but he's wobbly still.

The hungry monkey that he is meant we started him slightly earlier than the 4 month mark for introducing solids, we did seek advice from the public health nurse! At 14 weeks we were giving him a little bit of baby porridge which he devoured. He is now on 3 meals a day, albeit not huge ones but it keeps him full until the next bottle. He usually has porridge for brekkie, prueed veg for lunch and he loves Banana Bedtime for his tea. He was on 6 to 7 bottles of 8oz of SMA Hungry milk and we really just felt that that was a bit too much milk to have sloshing around in his belly so thats why we decided to start a tad earlier with some solids. He's liked almost every taste so far except for his first taste of jar food yesterday...he was not impressed with Heinz Sunday Chicken Dinner!!

The poor bub has been teething since 3 months old, if he could eat his whole hand he would but thank goodness for Nelson's Teething Crystals, they work a treat!

He's doing ok at night, well for most of it. He usually is in bed for 7 after his bath and bottle and would have one bottle during the night. He does have a thing of waking between 4 and 5am every morning, but not fully awake just tossing an turning and crying out, but once he gets into our bed he goes off again until half 7. Although we had a few nights last week where he was waking every hour on the hour....cue 2 tired parents!

1 month, 2 months, 3 months....4 months!! :)
